for Behavioral Pain Management
COMPREHENSIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT
This program incorporates psychology, physical therapy and nursing to provide the highest level of pain management education that helps you manage your pain and stress. This program meets five days a week for four hours each day for 30 sessions. Accommodations can be made for individual circumstances.
A significant factor for patients suffering from chronic pain is the mind-body connection. Our psychologists prepare a personalized program of psychological counseling for each patient. The behavioral component of pain management is provided through a series of individual and group sessions that include relaxation training, stress management training, biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification and crisis intervention training.
Our goal at the Lemons Center is to restore function and mobility in your everyday life. Our exercise programs are individualized and are progressed at your own pace. We focus not only on giving our patients the tools to manage pain themselves, but also we know that through education, patients who understand chronic pain are better able to manage it.
The nurse will assist with medication reconciliation while working closely with your prescribing physician. The program includes one-on-one sessions each week, to review current medications and dosages. We will provide education on possible side effects or negative interactions, as well as, natural alternatives to prescription medications, such as vitamins or supplements. Our goal is to improve health outcomes with a holistic approach.
